Breathing new life into this old Provençal mas meant, above all, preserving its history and imagining a garden that seems always to have been there.

THE OLD MAS
An old mas means authenticity; an old mas means an unbreakable bond between past and present — a bridge, I would even say, between past and present, one that must be preserved at all costs. This old Provençal mas was simply waiting to be reborn. I set out to hold, deep within my mind, the art of a simple and elegant architecture. We are in the Provence of tradition — refined and gentle — and a British couple who fell in love with this beautiful home.
Here, there is nothing overdone. The choice of plants was dictated by the hard bedrock of the Var country — more precisely, the Canton of Fayence.
