Jardin méditerranéen achevé sur les hauteurs de Grasse : piscine, oliviers et vue sur les collines
An Eden that endures through time…

Small or large garden Creativity is a must…

Whatever its size, designing a garden often proves a relatively complex undertaking. You are no doubt asking yourself a host of questions: how to make the most of the space? Which plants to choose? How to screen yourself from being overlooked? Atelier BDm meets your expectations by designing a project that is elegant and timeless.

The BDm studio

I do not seek to create spectacular gardens; I seek to create “fitting” gardens…gardens that belong to their landscape!

Before creating a space, it is essential to understand it. Whether it is a matter of steps, a gate or a pool… each place has a history, constraints, a light, uses and possibilities that must be revealed before any work begins.

Photomontages make it possible to explore different solutions, to visualise the possibilities and to anticipate choices in order to avoid mistakes.

My aim: to help you understand and to let you picture your garden!

The BDm method

Brigitte's signature.

Brigitte's gardens rest on creativity: it is creativity that gives a garden its soul. Creativity cannot be improvised. It is first “thought”, then “set down” on paper.

First phase

Realistic photomontages.

Brigitte offers realistic, artistic photomontages produced on computer, created from the photographs taken at our first meeting. This is the BDm method.

Second stage

Drawing by hand.

A drawn representation is produced: it is the piece that brings the whole project together. This drawing, built on the survey plan provided by the surveyor, makes it possible to obtain detailed quotes for the works, thanks to the specification and the plant schedule.

Photomontages to visualise your future space.

Just one question: “Which do you prefer?” — for it is only a matter of taste and cost!

More than 15 years ago, 3D did not exist, still less AI. It was thanks to an 18-hectare property overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez that I came to offer this new way of "understanding" the garden and of communicating with the client. Graphic representations that I present in my second book, entitled "De l'art à l'architecture du jardin."

From the first glance to the last lavender planted

There is always more than one way to design a garden.

Understanding your land before imagining your garden.

Every project begins with a visit on site to study the setting, understand your wishes and identify the constraints of the land. This first step is an opportunity to discuss your project and to introduce you to my way of working.

Book an appointment for a visit

  • The on-site visit Nothing replaces walking the land itself: the slope, the light, the views, the winds, the way you will live in the garden.
  • The surveyor's plans A survey of your property drawn up by a surveyor gives the study its exact basis: levels, boundaries, existing features.
  • Your photos, then the photomontages From your own photographs, I create realistic photomontages: you see the garden before the first spade stroke.

Creating gardens that seem to have always been there.

I conceive each garden as a truly bespoke creation, where every detail is considered to reveal the identity of the place and its owners.

The BDm studio meets your expectations by designing an elegant, timeless project.

Frequently asked questions

The questions I'm asked most often.

I don't limit myself to laying out a garden. I design a true landscape project, conceived as a whole, where perspectives, light, materials and planting come together to create a place that is unique and timeless.

As early as possible. Whether it is a new build, a renovation or the transformation of an existing garden, getting involved from the very first thoughts makes it possible to envisage a project in harmony with the architecture and its surroundings.

Every project begins with a meeting on site to understand your wishes and the particulars of the place. I then develop a landscape study comprising hand drawings, realistic photomontages and the plans needed to design the garden.

Before creating a space, it is essential to understand it. Whether it is a matter of steps, a gate or a pool… every place has a history, constraints, a quality of light, uses and potential that must be revealed before any work begins. Preliminary designs make it possible to explore different solutions, to picture the possibilities and to anticipate choices so as to avoid mistakes.

My aim: to help you understand and visualise your garden!

I am used to working with architects, project managers and the firms carrying out the works, so as to ensure perfect consistency between the project as imagined and its execution.

I oversee the project in collaboration with partner companies to ensure that the design intentions are respected through to the completion of the garden.

My studio is based in Grasse and I work mainly across the French Riviera. Depending on the nature of the project, other locations can be considered — notably for my international clients who entrust me with their Provençal residences.

As each project is unique, my fees are set by quotation according to its nature, its complexity and the scope of the commission entrusted to me. A first meeting allows your needs to be defined precisely before a bespoke proposal is drawn up.
