Exceptional garden in the Grasse hinterland

In the Grasse hinterland, a large Mediterranean property where stone, planting and light converse. An exceptional project, conceived as a whole, from the structure of the terrain to the harmonies of the planting.

The exceptional garden in the Grasse hinterland, its pool opening onto the hills
“I have had the good fortune to step into exceptional properties and create wonderful gardens there. Creativity does not exist without technique, and my own craft grew out of these magnificent spaces that were entrusted to me from the very start.”

All my projects are guided by one essential concern: the marriage of slender or rounded forms with the range of greens that nature offers. This is the very definition of “the architecture of a garden”.

What could be more beautiful than the soft grey-green of the olive trees, the velvety blue-green of the lavenders, or the bright yellow of the santolinas in bloom, punctuated by the dark, slender forms of the Provençal cypresses? What could be more beautiful than a soft-pink heather awakening a bush of pale grey perennials?

“Starting from a neglected plot, Brigitte Dematteis created for us a small Mediterranean gem where life is a pleasure. A few spacious areas for large family and friends gatherings, but also secluded, sheltered spaces suited to every need (shaded, sunny…) and every temperament (romantic, sporty…). We are most grateful to her for knowing how to interpret our wishes. It is a living garden where everyone finds their place and which evolves with the seasons. Brigitte Dematteis, a passionate artist, knew how to preserve the natural surroundings and adapt them to our requirements. A huge THANK YOU, Madame Dematteis”
